Mr. S is a supersonic streak in the sky
I'll get back to posting some albums soon, but until then enjoy this very psychedelic children's program from the 70s. Somehow I missed out on this when I was a kid. Be sure to listen to the original version of the song at the end.
The Letter People came out of St. Louis, so those of us who grew up around there are very familiar with it. It was briefly syndicated on PBS stations around the country, but if you mention it to most people, all you get are blank stares. It WAS a very trippy show and anyone who watched it as a kid has had it ingrained in their memory, and it's definitely a bonding moment when you meet someone else who remembers it.
Oh wow! I thought I was the only one who remembered this..I am 34 and I swear I still humm this song from time to time! Googled on a whim and look what I find!
